Description:

Mauritia flexuosa is a palm tree that grows in swamp areas of Nothern South America. It produces edible fuits, its fiber, and leaves are also used to cover houses and to make hats, and other handcrafts. By cold pressing of the fruit pulp is obtained a rich reddish oil.

buriti oil has an anti-aging action, it is an natural skin exfoliator and increases the elasticity of the skin. Excellent for self tanning products, due to its ability to absorb radiation in the range of visible and ultraviolet light, the oil is used by the cosmetic industry as a solar filter that reduces the dryness of the skin.
