Description :

Euterpe oleraceae is a slender palm tree which can grow up to 20 meters, it grows only in South America, in the tropics, mostly swamp. The Açai berries grow in clusters at the base of the palms, they are dark red to purple, and are 1 to 2 cm in diameter. The pulp contains an exceptional proportion of vegetable fats (about 55%). Based on the ORAC method tests show that Açai berries are among the most antioxidant fruit with Cranberry, Blueberry and Maqui berry.

Composition, actifs :

rich in essential fatty acids, omega 3, omega-6 linoleic acid (50%) and Omega 9 oleic acid (30%), Açai oil is also rich in phytosterols (β-sitosterol, stigmasterol and campesterol), vitamin C, and in polyphenols : anthocyanins and proanthocyanins (up to 30 times more than red grapes).

Applications, propriétés :

in cutaneous application the omega-6 promote healthy skin, Omega-9 promote hydration, very high concentration of antioxidants confers anti-aging and revitalizing properties.
