Astrocaryum murumuru is a palm tree, “cousin” of the Tucuma, that grows in the rainforests and swampy areas of northern South America. By cold pressing of the seed is obtained an emollient white butter, odorless and tasteless.

rich in lauric acid (47%) and myristic acid (26%)

Applications, properties:

nutrition and moisturization of the skin and hair. An excellent ingredient for shampoos, conditioners, and highly moisturizing skin care products. High melting point (33°C) compared to other butters.
