high absorption rate, due to tripalmitin which penetrates the skin quickly. Fatty palmitoleic acid makes the bacuri oil a very good emollient, which can also be used as a moisturizing agent. Bacuri butter traditionally gives a golden tone to the skin. It is absorbed a few minutes after and the skin becomes velvety to the touch; it also removes spots and reduces scarring.
