Bee Venom
bee venom is collected by placing a slightly electrified metal plate at the entrance of the hive : the electric field stimulates the production of venom which is collected in drops on the plate. Bee venom is then purified and dehydrated.
bee venom contains anti-inflammatory agents, including adolapine and melittin. Melittin is known to be 100 times more potent than hydrocortisone, it stimulates the production of cortisol.
